Certificate of Arbitrage (SLACKBOT)
Lineage Nº1 · first minted Oct 15, 2026

Arb bots found our wBOB pools within minutes of opening and have looped through them ever since. Every machine that does gets a Certificate of Arbitrage: one per machine, minted straight to the bot's contract, impossible to sell or move. Nobody can buy one; a machine has to earn it.

  • The picture and every word on it are drawn by the contract itself, on chain.
  • Each certificate records the machine, the pool it first looped, and a slogan picked at mint.
  • New bots are certified automatically, a few minutes after their first loop, through a single-purpose key that can do nothing else. See the reply below.
  • The holder can burn it, free. Paying to remove one would be a scam shape, so there's no such thing.

Update: certificates are now minted automatically

Until today, every new SlackBot waited for us to certify it by hand. Only the owner of the Certificate of Arbitrage contract can mint one, and the owner was our treasury, subgeniusfinance.eth, the wallet that holds all of the wBOB pool liquidity. We were not going to keep that key on a server just to hand out certificates.

So the treasury created a small contract, the Certifier, and made it the owner. The Certifier lets one separate key do one thing: mint a Certificate of Arbitrage to a bot that has never had one. That key carries a few cents of xDAI for gas. It can't touch the treasury, the pools, wBOB, the art, or anyone's money, and it can't change who controls anything. The worst anyone could do with a stolen copy is mint unwanted certificates at their own expense.

The treasury stays the Certifier's only admin, fixed when it was deployed. It can switch the key off, replace it, or take the certificate contract back in one transaction.

SlackBot Nº6 and Nº7 were the first two certified this way, minutes after the switch.
